But there may still be delays for drivers with changed traffic conditions in place for the next three weeks as work continues to reinforce the slope.
The section of the road was re-opened to traffic on Monday after crews worked through the week to move the rocks off the road.
One lane will be in operation 24 hours a day until Friday, September 6, weather permitting.

Roads and Maritime Services said further work will be carried out between 7am and 6pm weekdays, and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
"Traffic controllers will be in place during work hours and portable traffic lights in operation after hours," a spokeswoman said.
"Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
"Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time."
