Browne polled 36 votes to score a two-vote win over Barnawartha's Tina Way and Dederang-Mt Beauty's Leah Carter, who tied for second.
Browne finished runner-up last season behind Mitta United's Kirsty Baude.

"To win is an unexpected bonus," Browne, who is in her second season with the Cats, said.
"I've taken on a coaching role this year and my main focus has been on getting the side into finals.
"This is not what I play for, what I play for is about to unfold over the next month."
