ROO BEAUTY
Yackandandah midfielder Danny Atwell has taken out the Roos best and fairest. Atwell defeated Connor Marshall who is regarded as one of the best young talents in the Tallangatta league. The Roos finished eighth with a 7-11 record. The Roos' reserves, thirds and fourths all finished on top of the ladder and will enjoy the first week off during the finals series.
BARTEL THE ONE
Kiewa Sandy Creek midfielder Jason Bartel has enhanced his reputation as one of the Hawks' greats after claiming his fourth best and fairest. He beat Ben Murphy. Bartel was also named in a forward pocket in the Hawks' team of the past 50-years announced earlier in the season and looks set for a big finals series.
MITCH HARD TO STITCH
Defender Mitch Seaton is held in high regard at Tallangatta and it's easy to see why after his performance on the weekend. Handed the huge job of curtailing Ricky Whitehead, Seaton was one of the few defenders this season to outpoint the Swan ace. Seaton restricted Whitehead to three goals. It was no fluke either after also keeping Whitehead to two goals earlier in the season.
