The ski resort has decided to stay open until October 6 with 338 centimetres of snow recorded this season.
A spokesman said the past three seasons have been the best in a row since 1985.
"On the back of excellent snowfalls this month, Hotham Alpine Resort has extended it's 2019 snow season by a week to stay open until October 6," he said.
"This is the third season (a three-peat) in a row that the resort has extended its snow season as a result of stellar snowfalls.
"It's the best three seasons in a row since 1985.

"We have had 338cm of snowfalls recorded this season with 36cm of new snow falling this week.
"The resort holds an excellent snowbase of 1.4m with all lifts and terrain open.
"The extension offers snow surety for holiday snow enthusiasts this spring while adding to the benefit of Epic Australia season pass holders.
"More snowfalls are due this Wednesday at the resort."
