Jessica Brooks fronted Albury Local Court on Monday over a break-in on a Lavington house in which, she told police, she acted as a lookout for a co-offender.
But Brooks refused to reveal the identity of her fellow crook.
She was identified by both police and members of the public as being a woman seen on CCTV footage captured by security cameras at the Wattletree Road home.
She pleaded guilty on Monday to a single charge of aggravated break, enter and steal in company.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Brooks appeared before magistrate Imad Abdul-Karim via video link to jail, where she remains bail refused.
The court was told that Brooks was due to be sentenced on several other matters on September 24, for which a sentence assessment report was already under way.
This report is now likely to be changed to incorporate the Lavington burglary on March 7.
Police told Mr Abdul-Karim that the unemployed 29-year-old had been receiving treatment for drug and alcohol addiction through St Vincent de Paul in Albury-Wodonga.
"She has a history of property crime and drug matters."
Her criminal record includes convictions in both NSW and Victoria.
The Lavington house, police said, was broken into between 9.10am and 9.30am while its owners - a family of four - were away.
A jemmy bar was used to force open the front wooden door, causing substantial damage around the locking mechanism.
The haul looted included a $1000 laptop computer, a $200 tablet computer, a $500 laptop computer kept in a leather case and a jewellery box and contents valued at $250.
These items were stolen from various parts of the house.
The CCTV footage showed Brooks knocking on a back glass sliding door.
