The Women's Health and Well-being Breakfast is running for the third year at the Tallangatta community centre, and will be a chance for the town's new GP to introduce herself.
Rasmita Mishra specialises in obstetrics and gynaecology, and is one of three GPs at the medical centre run by the Tallangatta Health Service.
"I grew up in Wodonga, and I was working at Federation Clinic," she said.
"I started in May and I've been really enjoying it.
"Everybody is so friendly and helpful, and you get so much job satisfaction working rurally - people really appreciate you."
Dr Mishra is speaking about women's sexual health, and is being joined by THS nurse practitioner Sue Reid.
"Our main message is about looking after yourself, and to grow awareness that Ras has joined our team," Ms Reid said.
"We usually get a very good roll up to the day - there's 30 people registered already.

"Our dietitian Kerryn O'Brien will also be speaking on the topic 'What diet is best?'."
Towong Council community development officer Lou Newman said the event, run by the Tallangatta Neighbourhood House and the health service, was becoming a staple during Women's Health Week which runs from September 2 to September 6.
"It started off as a Jean Hailes event three years ago and it's continued on from then as a partnership," she said.
The Women's Health and Well-being breakfast runs from 8.30am to 10.30am.
