BM: Lavington has been beaten by an average of 28 points by Wangaratta, does it need to try something different?

MARC ALMOND (Corowa-Rutherglen): Absolutely. Against the other top sides, Lavi's averaged 102 points for. In the last two games against Wang, it's 55. It's all about the inside 50s and the ability to shift the back six. Lavi needs to give Wang different scenarios. Lavi could shorten the ground up and leave space out the back or when lengthening the ground, lower their eyes and hit a lead. If Lavi kicks high and long, they lose.

BM: Teams have struggled to kick goals against Wangaratta, would you try maybe a Simon Curtis or Brant Dickson forward?

ZAC FULFORD (Wodonga): Wang has conceded only 61 points on average. Van Berlo and Co. have coupled stingy defence with attacking rebound. Tall Brant Dickson is the one to slide forward, getting defenders into one on one contests to introduce their smalls, like Hallows. They could rotate Shaun Mannagh and Marty Brennan out of the goal square as they're quick and goalkickers. Lavi will mix its forwards up.

BM: When the teams last met, Lavi's Brant Dickson took star forward Michael Newton and kept him to three goals, while Tom Yensch opposed Josh Porter (two goals), would you have the same matchups?

TOM MCGRATH (Albury): Lavi would go the same way because holding Newton and Porter to five goals is huge. Dickson on Newton is the logical matchup, although Lavi could throw Dickson forward like they did against us. If things aren't working, you can always move Meredith onto Newton. The ruck is interesting. Porter has been the back up but I'd be trying to pinch-hit with Van Berlo, Hedin or Boyle.

BM: Lavi captain Luke Garland has played half-forward, but started in the middle against you, what is his best position?

JAKE SHARP (Myrtleford): I think Garland is terrific across half-forward, presents well and can take contested marks. I think he's pivotal in ensuring the ball penetrates Wang's miserly half-back line.

BM: They say you're only as good as your bottom six. Given Wang clearly has a stronger list, does it come down to Lavi's guns - Curtis, Mannagh etc - needing career-best games?

ISAAC MULLER: Wang has the optimal preparation, bar losing Leitch, but will prove its strengths by combating Lavi's. They will take away Lavi's short possession-based kicking game and limit the influence of key mids. I expect plenty of fire, but experience will prevail.
