Income from the $85-a-head dinner will go towards Cam's Cause, which honours Corporal Baird and the Wodonga-based Hume Veterans' Information Centre.
The centre's chairman Wayne Taylor said Mr Baird was originally visiting the Border to speak to students at Wodonga South Primary School and had suggested a fundraiser.
Albury Club president David Bruce said he was pleased to provide the venue for the occasion and aid mental health promotion.
"It's something the club has always been keen to support," Mr Bruce said.
"We run a couple of mental health seminars through the year, where practitioners come and provide advice and guidance, and we have a large mental health lunch every year."
Mr Bruce is a manager at the Norske Skog paper mill and has helped workers cope with mental scars following last year's fatal gas leak at the Ettamogah factory.
Mr Baird will be joined by Wangaratta RSL sub-branch Lieutenant-General Ash Power in addressing the gathering and referencing mental health and the military.
Various items will be auctioned on the Friday night for charity.
They include a framed tribute to Corporal Baird, containing replica medals and signed jumpers belonging to the 2019 Richmond team and the Wallabies rugby union squad.
The names of members who died in World Wars are on honour boards and the club was occupied by the army from 1941 to 1944.
In those years club members convened at Beehive Chambers in the west end of Dean Street before the 3rd base ordinance division relocated to Bandiana.
Tickets for the three-course fundraiser on October 11 can be purchased through the club which can be reached by phoning (02) 6021 2511.
