Officers are encouraging residents to be more mindful of their home security after the rise in burglaries.
People are being urged to lock all windows and doors, even when they are home.

Garages and sheds should also be kept locked.
A spokesman said people should ensure their properties are adequately lit, preferably with motion activated security lights.
