The town is getting behind the McGrath Foundation Pink Up Your Town initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness Month during October with shop fronts and the town centre turning pink.
The initiative aims to bring communities together to "pink up" to raise funds for McGrath breast care nurses and create a visual show of support for local families experiencing breast cancer.
And the Holbrook community is "proud" to be turning pink.
"All the businesses in the main street have pinked up their business windows, it is so nice to drive down the main street and see all the pink windows, it makes me smile and think how wonderful Holbrook is as a community to live and raise a family," Holbrook Pink Up Your Town committee chair Tania Saunders said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"There will be a pink trophy awarded to the best pink window at the end of the month.
"I hope that the people of Holbrook will be proud to call Holbrook home and whatever amount we raise they should be very proud.
"This is a cause close to my heart and it fills me with pride to see the community getting involved."
Fundraising activities include the miniature train running on October 12, the Power of Pink dinner and auction at the Ten Mile on October 18, The Pink 100s Club at the Riverina Hotel on October 27 and the Pink Up Brunch at J&B's Gourmet Cafe on October 28.
All proceeds will go to the McGrath Foundation. McGrath Foundation director Tracy Bevan said events in towns such as Holbrook are vital to support breast care nurses.
