Coaches: Luke Styles and Nick McDonald
Captain: Kade Brown
Gains: Nathan Smith (Lavington), Blake Nikolic (Box Hill), Louis Bote (England), Ross Dixon (England), Zach Stuart (injured)
Losses: Luke Styles (knee)
Prospects: Albury look a good chance of breaking into the top six. Englishman Louis Bote was a real threat against North Albury in a practice match picking up several big-name Hoppers while Ross Dixon and Blake Nikolic will add strength to the batting. Alex Popko and Kade Brown will also right to go from the outset.
Coaches comment: "I'd be disappointed if we didn't improve," Styles said. "We have picked up some real quality and won't be coming from as far back this season."
Prediction: 7th
BELVOIR
Last season: 5th
Coach: Michael Booth and David Farrell
Captain: Nat Sariman
Gains: Nil
Losses: Zac Simmonds (injured), Mick Russell (injured), Lee Tyrell
Prospects: Expect the Eagles to give players like Casey George, David Perkins and Kaiden Withers opportunities to develop into regular first-graders. Lachie McMillan was Belvoir's club champion last year and is another who looks set to develop.
Coaches comment: "We're looking to have a really exciting year with a few more young fellas pushing through," Sariman said. "It will be a year of development for us."
Prediction: 8th
EAST ALBURY
Last season: 8th
Captain-coach: Dylan Weeding
Gains: Brett Davies (Lavington), Romario Greaves (West Indies), Coby and Liam Fitzsimmons (New City), Brent de Vries (Kiewa), Austin Shepherd (shoulder)
Losses: Nil
Leading run-scorer last season: Kris Milosta (557)
Prospects: The Crows were bitterly disappointed to miss the top-six last season and set about rectifying the situation by adding some experience. Brett Davies is a seasoned pro and will provide leadership and West Indian Romario Greaves provides X-factor. Coby Fitzsimmons has impressed since joining the club from New City and his brother, Liam, will play when free of commitments with Greenvale.
Coaches comment: "We hope to get back into the finals," Weeding said. "We under-performed last year and hopefully that experience holds us in good stead. We were really raw and Brett Davies and Brent de Vries are going to help us a lot in that regard."
Prediction: 6th
LAVINGTON
Last season: 2nd
Coach: Daryl Tuffey
Captain: Sam Harris
Gains: Chris Galvin (Sydney), Andrew Mackinlay (Holbrook)
Losses: Brett Davies (Lavington), Daryl Tuffey (retired), Jarryd Weeding (retired), David Tassell (injured)
Leading run-scorer last season: Sam O'Connor (638)
Leading wicket-taker last season: Ryan Brown (40)
Prospects: While the Panthers look weaker on paper, coach Daryl Tuffey has plenty of depth at his disposal which will keep the club near the top of the ladder. Sam Harris will captain the side for the seventh successive season.
Coaches comment: "A few players from last season won't be playing but we still have a lot of talent at the club and other players will get opportunities," Tuffey said.
Prediction: 2nd
NEW CITY
Last season: 9th
Coach: Akki Murthy
Captain: Zac Barrenechea
Gains: Tarisai Musakanda (Zimbabwe)
Losses: Coby Fitzsimmons (New City), Saurabh Bandekar
Leading run-scorer last season: Saurabh Bandekar (843)
Prospects: With the Phoenix undergoing massive change, the club has turned to youth with 21-year-old Zac Barrenechea appointed captain and 17-year-old Aaron Green his deputy. Import Tarisai Musakanda has arrived on the Border after captaining the African under-21 Twenty20 side and will bat at number three.
President's comment: "It's a new era for the club," Chris Green said. "We have a lot of new players at the club and are excited about what's ahead."
Prediction: 9th
NORTH ALBURY
Last season: 1st
Coach: Tim Hartshorn
Captain: Ash Borella
Gains: Ryan Addison (England), Jake Burge (Gold Coast), Matt Bennerely (Phillip Island), Chris Taylor (Cobram)
Losses: Dan Kadaoui and Tim Hartshorn (retired)
Leading run-scorer last season: Ash Borella (611)
Prospects: While everyone was hunting Lavington last season, the Hoppers will be the team to beat in 2019-20. They have retained their premiership list and added some genuine quality. Ryan Addison is back from England while recruits Jake Burge and Matt Bennerely are strong all-rounders.
Captain's comment: "We're really happy to keep the side together and add a few here and there," Borella said. "It keeps the pressure on for spots."
Prediction: 1st
ST PATRICK'S
Last season: 3rd
Coach: James Kreutzberger
Captain: Matt Crawshaw
Gains: Luke Evans (England), Jack Heriot (New City)
Losses: Kieran Cowan (Newcastle), Kane Arendarcikas (knee)
Leading run-scorer last season: Angus Kilby (514)
Prospects: The Patties look well equipped to challenge. English recruit Luke Evans has been compared to bowling at a similar pace to Jarryd Hatton and is set to shake up opposition bats. Nick Brown will play more cricket this season after an interrupted 2018-19.
Coaches comment: "We are pretty keen to further our credentials after last year's strong finish," Kreutzberger said. "We weren't that far off making a grand final so hopefully we can continue to improve."
Prediction: 5th
TALLANGATTA
Last season: 6th
Captain-coach: Matt Armstrong
Gains: Matthew Oswell (England), Ollie Willett and Fraser Ellis (City Colts), Shahib Malhotra (India), Grant Chessari (Ormond)
Losses: Jonty Thomas (knee)
Leading run-scorer last season: Sahib Malhotra (467)
Prospects: Besides North Albury, no one has recruited better than the Bushrangers. Malhotra returns after missing the second-half of last season and could do some real damage with Englishman Matthew Oswell.
Coaches comment: "We're happy with the players who have come into the side but you still have to put it all together," Armstrong said.
Prediction: 3rd
WODONGA
Last season: 4th
Coach: Jack Craig, Tom Johnson and Cameron Suidgeest
Captain: Tom Johnson
Gains: Josh Mills (Wagga)
Losses: Harris Lees (Melbourne)
Leading run-scorer last season: Jack Craig (795)
Prospects: Bowed out of the finals series in straight sets last season and will be looking to make amends. Any side which boasts players of the ilk of Robbie Jackson, Jack Craig, Byron Hales and Cam Suidgeest is going to be thereabouts.
Captain's comment: "We're looking forward to it," Johnson said. "We have some experience and some good young ones pushing through as well."
Prediction: 4th
WODONGA RAIDERS
Last season: 10th

Losses: Steve Keene (Wagga)
Leading run-scorer last season: Jesse Griffiths (392)
Prospects: Can the Raiders climb off the bottom of the ladder? They failed to win a match last season but will fancy their chances with New City losing some of their best players.
Prediction: 10th
