The inaugural event hosted by Wodonga TAFE and TAFE NSW Albury will be held from 12.30pm until 3pm on October 24 at Wodonga TAFE.
Wodonga TAFE community and industry engagement director Victoria Conlan said the event was an important showcase of job opportunities in the region.
"Work ConnectED is an exciting event, giving students and job seekers the ability to develop connections with local businesses," she said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"The event showcases career opportunities from local employers and educates attendees on the skills and education needed to be successful."
TAFE NSW Albury services manager Mark Guiney said young people "often just follow a single path of moving to Melbourne or Sydney" to pursue a career.
"They may be unaware of the great job opportunities available right here locally or within a short trip," he said.
"We want to showcase our local companies as career destinations with great job options.
"This supports our people to live successfully and stay local, which in turn builds a stronger Border community." Businesses such as Westmont Aged Care, Defence Force and Joss will be represented.
