A woman who fell five metres down Beechworth Gorge and injured her leg has thanked those involved in her lengthy rescue operation.

Penelope Flower, 42, broke her fibia during the incident on Sunday afternoon.
Ms Flower, who was visiting the area from South Australia, had to be moved to a flat area before being winched out by an Ambulance Victoria helicopter and flown to hospital.
"I'm just really thankful to everyone involved," she said yesterday.
"It could have been a lot worse.
"I picked up speed and ended up near the rock ledge with my foot out to stop me.
"That stopped me going over the edge."
Her partner raised the alarm.

Ms Flower had concerns for those helping her from the scene.
"The rocks were really slippery," she said.
"The SES were having some trouble themselves.
"They put themselves at risk on those slippery rocks to help.
"They kept me in good spirits."
Police warned visitors to take care, with the rocks often dangerous.
The site is popular with tourists.
Ms Flower said the injury had been "very painful".
Her leg has been put into a brace and she is using crutches, and is waiting to see if she needs an operation.
