Grills received the honour during the Australian Sport Women's Health Awards in Sydney last week.
The polocrosse champion was honoured on the same night world number one tennis player Ash Barty took out Sportswoman of the Year.
Grills was one of five nominations with the development of her own Girls Talk program and polocrosse365.com.au proving a standout for judges.
The polocrosse365 is a three-day workshop for girls aged 12 to 16 yrs old which covers more than just polocrosse coaching.
Topics over the three days include mental health, body image, social media, physical health, nutrition, confidence along with specialised polocrosse coaching.
Grills was named Female Player of the Polocrosse World Cup earlier this year.
