The annual 24-hour Cancer Council fundraiser will be north of the Border this weekend, with at least 1500 participants pounding the track for a common cause. Live music and dancing, the kids zone, high tea, Miss Relay pageant and numerous competitions throughout the day add to the entertainment. Saturday's Hope Ceremony from 7.45pm will particularly remember those who have fought and are still fighting cancer. Last year's relay, held at Wodonga's Birallee Park, raised $367,160.
State Of Origin
Border Battle, Junction Place, Wodonga, Saturday, October 26, 2.30pm to 8pm
The Victoria vs NSW rivalry comes to the fore in the inaugural Border Battle car show. This new event has been created to bring the diverse car community together and showcase as many of their interests as possible. The former railway station will be the backdrop, with the timing chosen to highlight the sunset through the archway. There will be live music, vendors, food and, of course, hot cars.

Family Fun
Wodonga Children's Fair, Wodonga Racecourse and Showground Reserve, Sunday, October 27, 10am to 3pm
Since 1990, Wodonga Children's Fair has been an annual October tradition. The aim of the free event is to celebrate families and young people, with all invited to enjoy the entertainment. The members of medieval recreation group, Shire of Bordescros, will provide many highlights, such as medieval fighting and calligraphy lessons. Children will be able to make a crown or take their photo on the throne.

Shhh.... We can't tell you what or where, but this weekend and next sees Albury's third edition of an interactive film adventure suitable for all the family. As well as the PG-rated movie, 20 performers will help immerse you in a different world.
Country Delights
Myrtleford Show, Saturday, October 26, Gates open 8am, show closes 4pm
The 72nd anniversary Myrtleford Show returns with a wide range of agriculture, craft and cooking competitions. The program includes an animal nursery, friendly ferrets, wood chop, vintage cars, sideshow alley, Charlie the shearer and outback showman Lachie Cossor.

The Murray Conservatorium Concert Band brings staff and students together for performances of advanced band repertoire. Features include march music from Australia, Belgium, France and US as well as several movie themes.
