His parents Bruce and Denise Morcombe had attended her Enough is Enough rally in 2016 before she became an MP.
Ms Maxwell said the day was overwhelming.
"The Daniel Morcombe Foundation does incredible work to improve child safety and today was a sea of red in support," she said.
