The Roos bowled Howlong out for less than 100 after batting first to make 162.
Cameron Evans was a solid contributor for the victors with 77 runs, while Mick Walker secured four wickets.

Roos' captain Bailey Glass said it was good to see his side off to such a strong start.
"It's a very good start to the year," Glass said.
"Cam (Evans) and Jay Hillary batted awesome and ran between the wickets well.
"Mick Walker wound back the clock and bowled well as well."
Eskdale were three for 133 in their clash with Bethanga before rain disrupted play, while Mt Beauty had three out for 59 against Corowa.
No balls were bowled for the remaining two games.
