A raw water supply main not indicated in the initial design drawings has has been identified with the new Olympic Highway alignment placing the road directly on top of the existing Riverina Water main.
Riverina Water estimates the water main to cost $270,000 with works needing to be completed before roadworks commence on the Olympic Highway which are slated for early January.

Due to the overall project's size and complexity, council appointed planning consultants GHD to manage the the works.
Discussions with Telstra also revealed that an optic fibre cable runs through the project site and the telco also revealed NBN cabling was to be relocated as part of the works.
Land acquisition survey and valuation of the three properties affected by the works has been carried out, but acceptance of offers are still awaiting confirmation.
Other unknowns to date include Australian Rail Track Corporation construction costs and when those works can take place post the awarding of tenders.
Olympic Highway works are expected to take three months with a rail crossing contractor engaged in April.
Major components of the works are the new railway crossing, re-alignment of about 1km of the Olympic Highway, construction of a new intersection between Grubben Road, Orange Flat Lane and the railway crossing and closing the existing Williams Crossing railway crossing where a near miss between a train and truck took place in late January 2013
Major beneficiaries of the works will be the Henty township with large trucks no longer needing to travel in town and GrainCorp which has a receival site nearby.
