THE SS&A Club has recorded a sixth successive profit with the latest result nudging the $2 million mark and up nearly $500,000 on last year.

The positive return came despite replacing ageing kitchen infrastructure and dining area with the total works taking eight months to be fully completed.
Its financial year ending on May 31, poker machine income contributed to an increase in revenue for "rendering of services" to $18,527,860 from $16,681,888.
Combined bar and catering sales were down to $2,489,521 from $2,564,326 and employee-related expenses were up to $6,920,778 from $6,585,619.
Since the re-opening of "Social Dining & Bar" last December food sales increased by 37 per cent, according to club chief executive Gerard Darmody.
"Social Dining & Bar was developed to provide a modern food and dining experience that would allow
our talented chefs the opportunity for outstanding signature dishes combined with traditional favourites," he said.
"We would like to thank our entire membership base for their continued support over the past year.
"Without your ongoing patronage the SS&A would not be able to achieve our strategic goals and financial results."
Membership remained steady with 23,922 members in 2019 compared to 23,748 last year.
Gifts and donations were down to $337,912 from $360,343 with advertising, promotion and marketing expenses up to $3,331,132 from $3,030,759.
The SS&A Club's sponsorship of the Ovens and Murray Football-Netball League has extended to 21 years with the latest extension to 2021.
Eddie Dunlop was elected as president unopposed for a further three years and Mark Leman and Murray Ashcroft re-elected as directors.
Mr Dunlop has been president since he joined the board in 2010.
No elections were required for director positions.
