Border Bullets were 0-5 against ACT Aces.
Despite the disappointment of missing out on a game, the teams have rescheduled for another match on December 15 in the ACT.
"Both teams didn't want it to be a five-over game as that wouldn't have been fair," coach Catherine Wood said.
"We didn't have the quickest start and the ACT team also said if the roles were reversed, they didn't think it would be fair.
"So we have to really thank the Aces who were keen to play the game again at a time which suits."
The Bullets will hopefully have long-time Border star Lisa Kuschert available for the game.
Kuschert is based in Sydney.
Wood is also the coach of Lavington in Ovens and Murray netball.
