Within a month of Amart opening its doors, the Sydney-based grocery chain has agreed to occupy another large section of the former warehouse on a similar long-term lease and aiming to be trading by mid-2020.
A local investor group, Crowe Horwath Property Securities Limited, initially signed up Amart in 2018 for a $6 million redevelopment of the Young Street property with Amart also operating stores at Wagga and Shepparton.
"Amart isn't in Albury and neither is Harris Farms," project manager Paul Lachal said.
"So it's good for the town and good for the investors.
"Effectively there will be two tenants in the whole building which is fully leased."

Subject to planning approval from Albury Council and other conditions of the heads of agreement being ticked off, Harris Farms Markets could be starting fitout in March.
Harris Farms Markets also already exist at Wagga after being established in Sydney in 1971 and Amart opened its first store in Brisbane a year earlier.
Mr Lachal also confirmed Amart could be trading by the end of November to capitalise on pre-Christmas spending.
Bunnings closed their Young Street warehouse in early 2018 and relocated to a bigger complex in East Albury.
A Dalgety woolstore previously operated from the site, but was demolished to make for Bunnings in the early 2000s.
Meanwhile, Chemist Warehouse is expanding its footprint in Wodonga with a move into the Birallee Village shopping centre expected to take place before the end of the year.
Chemist Warehouse is also moving into the former Coles supermarket building in High Street which was vacated in 2017.
