The side was fielding against Wangaratta Magpies at Barkly Park early Saturday afternoon.
When the players returned to their changerooms about 3.30pm, they noticed their bags had been searched with items stolen.
Secretary Wayne Cooper said about six players had been targeted.
"It's very disappointing that that would happen at a local cricket match and at our home clubrooms," he said.
"Obviously the club will need to review its security and procedures.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"It's probably a timely reminder for all cricket clubs to review their security.
"It spoiled a good win for the club, it spoiled the day."
The club has previously been targeted at an away game.
Mr Cooper said it was believed the opposition were not involved.
"You don't expect that sort of thing will happen," he said.
"There were four mobile phones taken with the cash and credit cards.
"I guess the most important thing is that none of our players or opposition players are suspected of being involved."
Rutherglen police Sergeant Brian Curran said the matter was being investigated.
At least one of the cards had been used after being stolen, he said.
"If anyone saw people loitering around that area on Saturday afternoon, it would be good if they could contact us or Crime Stoppers," Sergeant Curran said.
"Police are appealing for any help that the public can give us."
