Loy will partner this year's Country Championship winner Noble Boy for trainer Todd Blowes.
The talented hoop said it was a surreal feeling to be riding one of the leading chances in the $1 million feature.
"It's exciting to be back in the spotlight and I have been overwhelmed by the amount of people who have already wished me good luck for the weekend," Loy said.
"To be racing for that sort of money and being on a horse that is expected to go close to winning is a surreal feeling."

Noble Boy is yet to win in three starts this preparation but has proven ultra competitive in The Kosciuszko, Goulburn Cup and in group 3 company last start at Flemington.
The son of Bon Hoffa likes to get back in his races before unleashing late.
Loy said drawing gate four provided him with plenty of options.
"I was pleasantly surprised when I saw he drew gate four," he said.
"I wasn't that concerned where I drew because I have got that much confidence in the horse.
"But drawing four is a luxury in that he can just jump from the barriers and take up a spot wherever he feels comfortable.
"Hopefully I only have to steer him to the 400m mark and then he can let rip.
"I think he may have been one run short last start at Flemington but he will be rock hard fit on Saturday."
In an open race Noble Boy is quoted as an $8 chance in pre-post markets.
"If he happens to win, not only will it be my biggest win financially but hopefully it can lead me gaining more rides on provincial and city tracks."
