The Self Made Market at QEII Square has been co-ordinated by Bec Hay, who also runs the popular Ultimate Women's Weekend Expo.

"Everything on offer will be made by the people selling the items," she said.

"I took a bit of inspiration from some other markets.

"It is perfect timing and it's a lot bigger than I thought it would be, which is amazing."

Ms Hay said clothes, jewellery, candles, baby items, farm products and more would be on offer.

"There's things for the boys as well - like beard balms and handmade bowties - they won't be forgotten about," she said.

"There's going to be something for everyone."

Oak and Wonder founder Jody Rolph will be selling wall hangings and other products created through macrame - 'the art of knotting'.

"I've been doing macrame for about 18 months," she said.

"I've always been creative and was experimenting with different crafts when I came across macrame.

"I learned the ropes and I haven't stopped.

"I find it's a little bit different to putting a canvas on a wall - it brings texture to a space."

Wodonga's Janine Burgess creates personalised prints through her business The Gift of Giving by Janine.

"I started four years ago when I personalised a gift," she said.

"The most popular print is the birth print, that has birth details and the star sign.

"I predominantly take orders through my Facebook page and I started doing markets about two months ago.

"I custom-design the print for each person."

Both Border mums have been selling their products through markets and social media.

Ms Hay, who "fell into events" after taking over Ultimate Events Aust a couple years ago, said artists to artisan producers had expressed interest in the Self Made Market.

"Some of the stallholders I know of - I've known Jody and Janine - others came to us when I put a call-out on social media," Ms Hay said.

"I hope to make it a regular on the calendar."

There will also be music and food trucks on Sunday at the event, running from 10am to 3pm - entry is free.

More than 30 stallholders from the Riverina will be showcased in 'Holbrook Handmade'.

That event, co-ordinated by the St Patrick's Primary School parents and friends committee, will take place from 10am to 3pm at the school hall at 145 Albury Street.
