The Hawks have signed talented Wodonga trio Josh Hicks, Nick Beattie and Chris Lewis.
The news is a stinging blow to the Bulldogs' hopes of avoiding a second consecutive wooden spoon.

Hawks coach Adam Mudra said the trio all had close ties to the club.
"Chris Lewis is a former premiership player who is returning," Mudra said.
"Nick and Josh also have strong connections to the club with their brothers playing.
"So it's pleasing not only to recruit some quality players but also quality individuals who will fit in well with the group."
Ruckman Tim Darcy is the only confirmed departure.
Strong marking forward Guy Telford is weighing up his future after being hampered by a back complaint this season.
Hicks is a dual best and fairest winner at the kennel and will add significant class to a midfield already boasting players the calibre of Jake Hicks, Ben Murphy, Jason Bartel and Jack Di Mizio.
Lewis is expected to play across half-back while Beattie was a noted goalkicker with the Bulldogs.
"First and foremost our priority is to retain the players we have at the club, which means you don't have to recruit as heavily," Mudra said.
"We also like to develop the junior talent.
"We had six thirds players from the side that made the grand final make their senior debut last season who will be given opportunities again."
