Deputy mayor Sophie Price told last month's council meeting that a patient died in hospital following an hour wait for an ambulance, but Ambulance Victoria said this week it did not believe that actually happened.
Executive director of clinical services Mick Stephenson told The Border Mail yesterday that after he said on Wednesday that "we believe the case doesn't exist", no further information on the patient had been provided.
The meeting with Indigo Council will take place on December 16, the day before the council's next scheduled monthly meeting.
