People with special needs have toured the Wodonga Police Station in a bid to break down barriers.

About 25 people, including those who are part of the Special Olympics Ovens and Murray, recently viewed the inner workings of the station.
Leading Senior Constable Rachael Kelly said it was a positive visit.

"It was a chance to tour the station and have a meet and greet with officers," she said.
"It's about being inclusive, respectful and breaking down barriers.
"It's also about making them feel comfortable to approach police.
"It was well received."
