Kevin Hughes and Jeff Hubanic snatched the final stanza in a tie-break to give Glenly Gold a one-game victory over Albury Blue.
Taj Murphy and Mick Glabbatz did enough in the final match to see Forrest Hill Blues over the line against Wodonga Knights.
Forrest Hill Tigers had the better of three of the four tight rubbers, before completing a win over Albury Gold.
Wodonga Pirates overcame SPD in a reduced match, with Thurgoona Bears accounting for Thurgoona Wolves.
Albury-Scots Blues got past Albury/Scots Lions in section four, SPD Green saw off Thurgoona Lions, while Wodonga Bears, SPD Purple, Wodonga Lions and Wodonga Crows all recorded victories.
Saturday pennant resumes on February 1 and Tuesday ladies on February 4.
