A man has been airlifted to hospital after a heavy machinery rollover at Balldale.

A large number of emergency service workers were called to a property on the Howlong-Balldale Road about 10am on Thursday.
A large earthmoving vehicle - believed to be a loader - rolled over into a drain, leaving a man trapped inside.
He was pinned inside the vehicle by the steering wheel.
The incident occurred near Morebringer Lane.

The man, who is believed to be in his 60s, was removed from the machine before being airlifted to hospital about midday.
The cause of the incident was unclear, but there appeared to be significant earthworks being undertaken near the crash site.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said the man was flown to The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne in a serious condition.
Three paramedic crews attended, along with firefighters and police.
A hospital spokeswoman said he was in stable condition on Thursday afternoon.
