The soccer governing body has asked members to be mindful of poor air quality.
AWFA strongly recommends that all football activities in the area affected by poor air quality or higher be postponed or cancelled for the health and safety of participants, or alternative indoor activities be organised.

"Parents and/or players should make their own decision about whether they should participate or not to attend due to health concerns," the AWFA said in a statement.
