Evacuation orders have again seen issued by the CFA with fears the Mount Buffalo fire could again run out of control on Friday afternoon.

Anyone located in Buffalo Creek, Buffalo River, Merriang South, Merriang and Nug Nug has been urged to evacuate now and move to a safer location away from the fire for a few hours with winds predicted to reach 50km/h.
Deputy incident controller Leith McKenzie from Fire Forest Management Victoria told Friday's community meeting in Bright that the fire was likely to run up the mountain again after about 3pm, the same as it did on Thursday afternoon.

But he had better news of the Mount Buffalo chalet after fears it would be caught up in the fire.
"It's right on the top of Mount Buffalo now - it's nowhere near the chalet as yet," he said.
"We don't have any crews on Mount Buffalo except to protect the chalet.
"To do work up there at the moment, it's just not safe for them.
"We had them there until yesterday, but we pulled them out.
"It's just purely for safety, there's no way out."
