Michelle Amery and her younger partner targeted the farming property in the valley about 2am on October 21 last year.
The Wodonga Magistrates Court heard the 44-year-old became increasingly uneasy while the man drove to the Left Hand Road home.
The court heard her co-accused - Leo Francis Nicolson - had apparently been going to the property to collect items his former boss refused to return to him.
Tools, household items and farm equipment were loaded into Amery's green Ford sedan, which crashed and rolled as the pair drove from the scene.
The court heard the duo walked four kilometres to a home and the occupant begrudgingly gave them a lift back to Tallangatta at 3.30am.
Amery treated herself for neck and back pain and reported the car stolen to police at 7.40am before signing a false statement that afternoon.
Officers found the vehicle "packed full of stolen property" and it was forensically examined.
Amery later confessed to her involvement and was charged with burglary, theft and making a false statement.
The Tallangatta hospital worker may have her nursing accreditation cancelled.
"The legislation or the policies are not specific," lawyer Sascha McCorriston said when asked if the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency would disqualify her.
"It's dealt with on a case by case basis.
"But it's certainly a possibility."
Amery wrote an apology letter to the victim.
Magistrate Ian Watkins questioned how she got herself involved.
"The fact it was in the wee hours of the morning should have been ringing alarm bells for you," he said.
Mr Watkins said "it beggars belief ... to find yourself in a situation like this", given Amery is 44 and has no priors.
The magistrate noted Amery had a good reputation and was an active community member.
He ordered she complete 80 hours of community work, without conviction.
