But the Thurgoona mum, who is likely the Border's biggest Elton John fan, simply doesn't care and will be front and centre as the global superstar takes to the All Saints Estate stage tomorrow night.
The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour is his final tour and Mrs O'Connell "couldn't be happier" it is close to home.
"This is the first time he has come to my part of the world, normally I have to travel to Melbourne or Sydney," she said.
"Who would have thought be would come here and for his farewell tour?
"But you never know, he might be doing a John Farnham and retire multiple times.
"His music is just so timeless and is something my husband and now my daughter enjoy as well.
"This will be my 14th Elton John concert since 1984 and he just keeps getting better and better."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Not only does Mrs O'Connell have merchandise from every concert she has been to, the sheet music from every one of his albums and all CDs and DVDs but her home, and of course her piano, is decorated in everything Elton.
Posters, photos and signed music sit on and around the piano where Mrs O'Connell enjoys playing all of Elton's songs.
"I don't know how he is going to stop," Mrs O'Connell said.
"He has been on the go for so long and by seeing documentaries and things he just loves it.
"I am just looking forward to singing along with him like I always do."
A favourite memory for the O'Connell family was in 2007 when Mrs O'Connell took her daughter Elloise to Werribee Mansion.
"She was only little so we rushed to the stage and a man next to us asked if she wanted to get on his shoulders," Mrs O'Connell said.
"Elloise had a gift for Elton and when he saw her he shook her hand and signed a DVD for her, went to walk away and then came back and blew a kiss at her.
"He had never done that before so that was incredible."
When asked what her favourite song was, Mrs O'Connell admits she "probably" doesn't have one.
"But I guess you can't go past Your Song," she said.
Mrs O'Connell has made a special denim jacket especially for tonight's concert as well as a decorative add-on for her glasses which includes the sheet music to Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and piano keys.
The only question she had left to answer was "which T-shirt to wear?"
Mrs O'Connell will be a part of the 11,000-strong crowd at the sold out concert tomorrow night as part of A Day on the Green 2020.
