Co-coach Luke Brookes believes Chiltern has more than covered the gaping hole left by the departure of power forward Rick Whitehead.

Brookes has orchestrated a successful recruiting blitz, signing six players.
While the Swans signed Brad Hibberson before Christmas they have since added some height in David Goodwin (Lavington) and Kyle Magee (Wodonga).
They have also added further depth with the signings of Troy Marx (Wodonga), Braiden Young (Barnawartha) and Bailey Evans (Bendigo).
Goodwin and Magee are both over 190cm and will bolster the Swans' key position stocks.
A developing tall, Goodwin played reserves for Lavington last year while Magee has switched clubs after a season off.
"They're both young and will give us a lot more flexibility in the ruck and strengthen our spine," Brookes said.

While Young was also in the reserves for Barnawartha with the exception of one senior match.
Evans played TAC Cup two years ago and is expected to add further depth to the Swans' midfield rotations alongside Hibberson.
Nathan Woods (Cudgewa) is the only other confirmed departure apart from Whitehead.
Ash Van Klaveren will replace Whitehead as co-coach after being an assistant coach last year.
"Ash is an on field leader down back and is very good at keeping our structures together in defence," Brookes said.
"He had a lot to do with implementing our new game plan last year after crossing from Wodonga Raiders.
"So after one season the players are a lot more accustomed to it which we can only benefit from."
Mark Doolan is set to play again after coming out of retirement last year before the clearance deadline.
Doolan was restricted to three matches as he struggled with a calf complaint after not doing a pre-season.
Brookes said Doolan had been training strongly over the summer.
"I think we will be stronger and the top-five sides from last year look fairly even at this early stage," he said.
"Tallangatta and Kiewa-Sandy Creek look to have recruited well and I haven't heard much noise coming from Thurgoona."
