The 18-year-old Wodonga woman knew she wanted to study psychology from the first class in high school.
And she has been on the path to university ever since.
This year that dream is a reality when she begins her Bachelor of Psychological Science at La Trobe University.
She is one of 10 Destination Australia Scholarship recipients at the Border campus who will receive $15,000 each year of their degree.

"I have always been set on coming to La Trobe because I am such a home body, I only live up the road," Jenna said.
Despite Jenna's "utter excitement" to start her dream degree, she admits there will be some challenges due to her ongoing health issues.
"Considering I have battled chronic migraines that aren't under control yet I know there will be issues but I am doing something I love so that will make it all the more easier," she said.
"I would like to become a psychologist to help people, especially because my mental health hasn't always been as healthy as it could be with everything going on.
"I am starting my next lot of treatment in February and then I am having a nerve block done.
"They are confident that will help with a lot of the pain, especially around my eyes. And I am going to need my eyes to study."
Jenna said the money will go towards helping with her medical costs and "spoiling herself".
"I want to buy my first car as well," she said.
"I am hoping to work in the disability sector as a clinical psychologist because I know how debilitating it can be and how that impacts on your mental health."
