FRIDAY night's harness racing meeting at the Albury Paceway has been abandoned due to the extreme heat.
With the mercury tipped to rise to 42 degress on the Border, Harness Racing NSW stewards made the decision to abandon the meeting at 9am on Friday.
Iconic racecaller Allan Hull was set to call his final meeting at the Paceway after he first started calling Border harness meetings in the mid 1970s.
The club has two more Friday meetings over the next fortnight.
Its Carnival of Cups meeting will be held on February 14 which is also a night meeting.
