LONG-time Border umpire Peter Andriske has been appointed as AFL North East Border's umpire coach and development officer.

Andriske, who is a level two accredited coach, officiated in almost 800 Ovens and Murray and district league matches including 14 grand finals.
He will start the role on Monday with one of his focuses being liaising and building relationships with club coaches.
Michael Bocquet has commenced work as umpire operations and projects officer.
He worked in a support role with AFL North East Border in umpiring during the 2018 season.
Bocquet is completing a sports management degree at La Trobe University and is a running umpire which will further complement the 2020 umpire development model.
Brenton Pool commenced pre-Christmas as umpire high performance manager.
He is overseeing the physical conditioning of the umpire group.
Other assistant and support coaching arrangements will be confirmed in coming weeks.
Ian Hunter and Brett Chapman have joined AFLNEB as casual umpire development officers.
They have already played significant roles within umpiring in the region in junior engagement and coaching.
The umpire development officers will focus on umpire recruitment strategies in schools and local community activities.
AFLNEB has also adopted a continual improvement program which will monitor the implementation and success of the umpire review recommendations.
