The club announced it's playing squad this week with several new names in the mix for 2020, including some Hume league recruits.
Brock-Burrum's Shinead Kilroy has joined the Ovens and Murray league ranks, while newcomers Angela Kavanagh, Rachel Ralph and Kate Herbert are also in the Panthers' mix.
While the Panthers have lost several players, including new Pigeon Sarah Senini, they have retained O and M representative players Sarah Meredith and Maddi Lloyd.
Wood said their experience will be valuable for the new group.
"It's kept the experience of the A-grade really strong with those girls," Wood said.

The new coach said she's happy with the squad which also boasts some of the club's young rising talent.
"It's a really diverse squad," she said.
"We've got some youth that we want to develop and see them come through and progress.
"It's about keeping the club going strong for many years after."
While the A-grade team is yet to be finalised, Wood is looking forward to working out combinations at the upcoming pre-season competition at Albury's JC King Park.
"Hopefully we'll have our teams really nailed down for them to be able to go into the season strong knowing who plays really well with who and where we want people to be," she said.
There is a chance Wood may also take to the court for Lavington after being named in the squad, however, said for now she's focused on coaching.
"I'll definitely be on the sidelines and have a run when needed," she said.
