The Border exports are in a tie for 13th at nine-under par after day two of the event at 13th Beach Golf Links.
Fraser carded one of Friday's best rounds with a seven-under 65 to surge up the leaderboard, while Murray backed up Thursday's six-under 66 with another solid round of 69 to join Fraser five back.

Frenchman Robin Sciot-Siegrist fired an eight-under par 64 to storm to a two-shot lead at 14-under.
Travis Smyth is outright second at 12-under par, with Matthew Griffin, Jediah Morgan, Jake McLeod and Min Woo Lee sharing third spot at 11-under.
Murray has already made a promising start to 2020, finishing equal 21st in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship amongst a world-class field, pocketing more than $100,000 in prize money.
