Numbers have jumped by about 25 teams from last year's championships at Shepparton with players from across the state taking part.
"We're really happy with the numbers," Wodonga vice-president Craig Farrar said.
"It was a lot of hard work but we have a group of strong volunteers who have been fantastic.
"It doesn't happen without them.
"We have spent thousands of hours on this tournament.
"We have spent two years planning it."
Matches will be played on almost 100 grasscourts at Wodonga Tennis Centre, Kelly Park and Albury Grasscourts.
Farrar said some players had been competing in country week for decades.
"Some players have been coming for 20 to 30 years," Farrar said.
"We have a Wodonga player who used to play for Phillip Island and it will be about his 30th year of country week."
Wodonga, Shepparton and Swan Hill take it in turns of hosting the event with Yarrawonga withdrawing.
A social event will be held on Sunday night before play starts at 9am on Monday.
Semi-finals will be played on Thursday afternoon with the grand finals on Friday.
A strong contingent of Border sides have entered.
"People are invited to come along for a look," Farrar said.
"There will be some good tennis."
