Logan River is set to contest the $25,000 Gold Bobs Parsons Hcp, (1400m) with Simon Miller booked to ride.
The noted sprinter has drawn awkwardly in barrier 13 and is set to have a quick back-up into the $150,000 qualifier at Albury next week.

"Logan River won a trial at Albury last week and will derive a lot of benefit fitness-wise," Beer said.
"My biggest concern is the barrier.
"Although he prefers to race in a prominent spot, he dropped out to last at Wagga once over 1000m and flew home to run second.
"So he won't be three-deep on the speed and be having a gut-buster ahead of the Championships.
"I'll be telling Simon to get as close as he can to the speed without being deep.
"And the run should top him off perfectly for 12 days time."
Beer is set to have at least a five-pronged attack on the Country Championship qualifier.
Apart from Logan River, stablemates Maid In Milan, Sky Call, Damselfly's Kept and Perfect Illusion will also target the $150,000 feature.
