The competition leaders opted to bat first setting a total of 163 runs on the board with batters to spare, with Corowa all out for 101.
With one round to go before District cricket finals, Yackandandah captain Bailey Glass admitted the win was a crucial one for the Roos.
"Obviously they (Corowa) are a very good side and I rate them as nearly the best side in the competition," Glass said.
"To knock them off was very good coming into finals.

"We've had a pretty tough run in and we've struggled with a few games, but to get a few wins just before finals is obviously a good confidence booster.
"It was awesome."
Roos' Jay Hillary had a good day out with the bat making 55 runs not out in the victory.
"He was unreal," Glass said.
"I've never seen a bloke hit so cleanly."
Cooper Garoni racked up 33 runs for Yackandandah, while Cameron Evans and Bradley Scheetz also made contributions.
Skipper Glass also came away with three wickets in hand.
"It was probably the best team we've played all year, it was a really good game," Glass said.
"I think we all bowled well, it was a good team effort."
Jarred Lane landed the highest number of runs for Corowa, while teammate Kaelan Bradtke took three wickets for the visitors.
The Yackandandah Sports Park also played host to a Pink Stumps Day coinciding with the clash on Saturday, with funds raised going to the McGrath Foundation.
Glass said the day was a success.
"We had plenty of people there which was good to get around a good cause and raise a fair bit of money," he said.
Yackandandah now have one final test against Kiewa before finals get underway, while Corowa are set to take on Howlong.
The loss now sees Corowa slip to fourth spot on the ladder.
In other District games on the weekend, Mt Beauty proved too strong for Eskdale, despite Jye Hodgkin posting an 84 run performance.
Dederang defeated Barnawartha/Chiltern, while Kiewa had a good day out against Bethanga.
Howlong were also winners downing Baranduda.
