He struck three boundaries and combined in a match-defining stand with Edward Kreutzberger.
The latter (30 from 48 balls) also retired unbeaten, compiling two boundaries.
CAW finished on 5-82 with number five Charlie Bowles top-scoring with 27 not out from 40 balls.
He also hit four boundaries, while he received strong support from Mason Prenter (23 from 34 balls), hitting two fours and a six.
