Staff at Albury Ishka could not comment about the future of the store. For a number of months the shopfront has been covered with 'closing down sale' posters, but Ishka would not comment when previously approached.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Ishka chief executive Tony Darvall said he hoped the 50 per cent off sale, now dubbed the 'administrator appointed sale', could save the business. The company has 60 stores nationwide.
Mr Darvall said a delay in receiving $3 million worth of Christmas stock "crippled our business".
