While the Bulldogs had lost two matches, including the T20 grand final against North Albury last month, they hadn't been manhandled until the Panthers' demolition.

Wodonga will still claim the minor premiership after next week's final round, but the other finalists will gain confidence after the powerhouse batting lineup was skittled for only 100, albeit without one of the 'big three' in opener Tom Johnson.

On the flipside, Lavington remains undefeated since Christmas and is the main danger.

"We got a touch up earlier in the season and were looking for a big performance," coach Daryl Tuffey said.

Wodonga hammered Lavington by 94 runs on December 7 with Johnson hitting a century.

This time, the Panthers batted first and compiled 7-239 with four of the top six contributing.

Nathan Brown top-scored with 44, captain Sam Harris (41) and Matt Tom (39) maintained their strong form, while Sam O'Connor posted 38.

Since moving to the middle order a month ago, Brown has been dismissed only once and averages 176.

"We've found a good spot for him where we can maximise the damage he can do," Tuffey said.

"He's such a good player that he can adapt if we get off to a good start or if we're in trouble, he can get us out of it."

Openers Tom and O'Connor compiled 88 together and while the home team lost 3-0 to fall to 5-145 at one stage, a 61-run stand between Brown and Jayden Beaumont (24 not out) guaranteed the competition favourites had an imposing total.

Teenaged leg-spinner Michael Grohmann claimed 3-42 from eight overs and that's now the second time in three matches he's caused problems.

Wodonga's chase never looked likely, losing its last six wickets for 30.

Jack Craig made 29 before he became one of Rory Jenkins' four scalps, while Bob Jackson's super consistent run ended on 11.
