It comes after the Detroit born basketballer was announced in the Border side on Monday.
"With his experience he's just a voice for all of us, especially for me," Lloyd said.
"I can't wait to work off him and learn new tricks of the trade.
"To play against high calibre players every week is going to be amazing for my development and the team, and from an Albury perspective, bringing guys down with that experience will be great to watch."

Now heading into his third season with the Bandits, Lloyd is hoping to make a real impact on court for the Border outfit.
"I want to be a real impact player off the bench," he said.
"I want to bring that energy, I want to be a locker room guy and then where I can, I want to be a real threat.
"As you go through, each pre-season is a little bit different and also gets a little bit easier because you know what you're going into."
With local players commencing pre-season training back in November and the side's new season signings set to arrive next month, Lloyd admits he can't wait to get the whole team together.
"To hear all these guys starting to come in, it's finally looking like the pieces are starting to fall together and we're really starting to see the season plan out, which is really exciting for us local guys," he said.
"You never know how each season is going to pan out or how we're all going to gel.
"All we know is each player on the roster is keen and ready to get into it and fight."
The Bandits should have their full men's side assembled for training on the Border by mid-March.
