The Peter Morgan-trained galloper gapped his rivals to score by three-lengths in the $22,000 Handicap (1000m) with Mathew Cahill aboard.
In a terrific training performance, Bulala ($8) hadn't raced for almost 12 months.

The seven-year-old gelding finished at the tail of the field at his most recent start in the Country Championship qualifier won by Bennelong Dancer at Albury last year.
Bulala is raced by long-time Albury Racing Club committeeman Geoff Miller.
Morgan said he was keen to target the $75,000 City Handicap (1175m) on the opening day of the Albury carnival.
Bulala ran second in a recent trial at Wagga behind Real Key who ran fifth in the Country Championship qualifier at Albury.
Meanwhile the Craig Widdison-trained Ruby Skye broke through for a well deserved victory in the $27,000 Tom Patton Cup, (1800m).
Ridden by in-form hoop Blaike McDougall, Ruby Skye ($3-fav) defeated longshot hope Great Glen ($21) and Muswellbrook ($3.40).
Ruby Skye enjoyed a drop in class after proving competitive in city grade this preparation.
Widdison is keen to target next month's Albury Gold Cup with Ruby Skye alongside stablemates Willi Willi and Wyangle.
Willi Willi is set to contest the Wangaratta Cup on Saturday while Wyangle will tackle the Eldorado the following day during Wangaratta's two-day carnival.
