A huge turnover of players in the off-season has forced the club to make the tough decision to drop out of the top grade.
Preisdent Mick Hughson doesn't believe the call to return to seniors last season was rushed.
"Everyone was going hell for leather, but we get to the break and other commitments come into play and we had a lot of injuries last year as well," he said.

"We thought we were making the right decision from a club perspective and giving the boys what they wanted, but it came up well short.
"The last thing we want to do is put a group of players out there that are going to get flogged every week."
Heart will press on with a division two men's side and hopes to return to the top level in future.
"It's disappointing, but at the same time it's probably where we need to be as a club," Hughson said.
