Boom Wodonga amateur Daniel Gill has moved to Melbourne in his pursuit of a pro career.
The 18-year-old has moved in with great mate, Cobram product Caleb Bovalina, in an apartment owned by world number 66 Lucas Herbert, who recently won his maiden European Tour event in Dubai.
Gill is a member of prestigious Commonwealth Golf Club.
"The facilities here are enormous, you play on these world class golf courses and it's different weather too, Albury-Wodonga doesn't get the (unstable) weather that Melbourne gets," he said.
Gill is devoting himself to the game and is even working in a Drummond Golf store in the sandbelt area.

"I'll be there (at Commonwealth) all the time because they've got the range, the chipping and putting greens," he said.
Gill will contest the Riversdale Cup, starting Thursday.
