Although the Demons are coming off a poor batting performance against Walla, Swift said they had proven themselves to be a dangerous side.
"They were off last week but you can see from their previous form what they can do," Swift said.
"On their day they can play some really good cricket."
Rand disposed of neighbours Walbundrie in convincing fashion last weekend and has named an unchanged line-up.
Swift, Clint Ralston, Mark Kreutzberger and Brayden Lieschke form a strong top-order while Brayden Ralston and Dan Lieschke have been getting the job done with the ball.
"We don't rely on one person," Swift said.
"If someone isn't on, someone else usually steps up."
Lockhart has lost Jarrod Byrnes with a shoulder injury.
Walla will be looking to break a grand final drought when it travels to Osborne.
The Hoppers have steadily improved under Tom Simmons' leadership with Mark Taylor, Michael Linklater, Chris Hutchinson and Joel Merkel set to take the match up to the home team.
Preliminary finals
RAND v LOCKHART
At Rand
Match-winners
Bryce Swift (Rand). The skipper has reeled off back-to-back half centuries and never seems fazed by the big occasion.
Clint Renner (Lockhart): The veteran just keeps producing. Has taken 10 wickets in his last three matches and must continue to fire for the Demons to get over the league heavyweights.
Comment
Bryce Swift (Rand): "Both sides have been playing good cricket lately so I'd expect a tight game."
Chayte Burkinshaw (Lockhart): "All the boys are keen to get back into it. It was a disappointing loss to Walla but I think it's made us hungrier."
The verdict: Rand
OSBORNE v WALLA
At Osborne
Match-winners
Joe Perryman (Osborne). For a schoolboy, Perryman does it all. He's taken 18 wickets and made 336 runs.
Mark Taylor (Walla): The all-rounder provides genuine X-factor. If Simmons needs a wicket, Taylor generally gets thrown the ball.
Comment
Darren Howard (Osborne): "It's a really even comp and we will need to play our best cricket to get through to the grand final."
Tom Simmons (Walla): "We gained some confidence from last weekend's win and will need to do the little things right. Osborne is always tough."
The verdict: Walla
